This is a blended learning course. Participants will be emailed a link a few days prior to your in person class to complete your online portion from home.  The online portion of this class will take approximately 2 hours.  The in person portion of your class will be held at the School of Kinesiology Building on the date you register, for review and skills testing. You must complete the online portion of this class BEFORE you attend the in person skills portion. If you do not, you should not attend the in person portion and you will not be certified.

Upon successful completion of the online portion AND skills testing, a link will be emailed to you so you can print your certificate. You will be certified by the American Red Cross.

The building is locked on Sundays, therefore we will meet at the School of Kinesiology Building, 830 N. University Ave, outside of the main entrance (directly across the street from Hill Auditorium) at 9:55am.  We will proceed to the room  together for testing.  Please don't forget to bring your certificate confirming successful completion of the online portion.

How does this Blended Learning Class work?

You will be emailed a link from the SalesForce (check  your spam folder) 3 days before your scheduled in person class. You MUST complete the 2 hour online portion prior to coming on Sunday, and be prepared to show proof of the completion certificate. We will meet at the School of Kinesiology Building main entrance (across from Hill Auditorium), and proceed to our room to complete the skills portion. Once the skills test has been passed, an American Red Cross certificate will be emailed.

 

Who can enroll in this class?

Anyone 18 years old or older.  You do not need to be affiliated with the University of Michigan.

 

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

  • You may cancel your registration up to 10 days before class is scheduled to begin.  After that, no refunds are offered for cancellations.
  • Please double check your schedule before submitting your registration.  All refunds will incur a $18 processing fee.
  • Refunds will be issued to the credit card used during registration.
  • We are not able to issue credits or prorate refunds for absences.
